We've been working on a number of major improvements to Zenegy Payroll that make handling payroll faster, clearer and far more flexible. With our latest updates, you get tools that save you time, reduce errors and give you a full overview – all so you can focus on what creates value for your business.
Here's an overview of what you can look forward to coming back to after your holiday.
Run several pay runs at once – and keep the overview
With the new option to start and complete several pay runs at once, it's much faster to handle several pay periods and pay runs at the same time. This means you can create all the pay runs you want and work in them at the same time – so you no longer need to wait for one pay run to finish before you can start the next.
To support this, we've given the pay run page a new, optimised layout:
- You now see a clear overview at step 1, showing both ongoing and completed pay runs.
- It's easy to filter by regular and extra pay runs, and see important information such as name, ID, disposition date, type, status, number of employees and period.
- Each pay run is clickable, so you can go straight to the report or continue from the step you've reached.
You can also name your pay runs (e.g. “Leavers” or “Salaried pay”), so they're easy to find later – a big help for companies with many different pay runs.
And to avoid errors, the same employee can't be included in several pay runs at the same time. If that happens, you get a clear notification straight away, so you can correct the error.
New search and filter options – find everything quickly
We've extended the overview of pay runs with a number of new tools that make it easy to find exactly what you're looking for:
- A search field where you can search by pay run name or ID.
- Filters for status, period, employees and pay run type, so you can focus on exactly the pay runs you need.
- New sorting options – choose between default order, ID, name or disposition date, whichever suits your workflow best.
For a better overview, the pay run's name, period and disposition date are shown directly on the draft, calculation and approval pages, so you can always see which pay run you're working on – without jumping back and forth between pages.
More unified administration – subscriptions and company settings
To make navigation easier, we've moved all administration of subscriptions and billing from the Payroll menu to System (the cog in the left-hand menu). This means all company-related information is now gathered in one place.
Here you can:
- See and manage your products – add or cancel subscriptions in a few clicks.
- Close your company account through a secure process where you confirm the closure with an email code. You also get an overview of how long your data is available after closure, and you can cancel the closure if you change your mind.
Faster employee creation – for both new and former employees
We've simplified the flow for creating and reactivating employees:
- You no longer need to enter the seniority date and employment date when creating the employee. They can be added later if needed.
- The process is now standardised across Zenegy's products, so you get a consistent, familiar flow.
In addition, CPR lookup is now standard – if you enter a CPR number, the system automatically fetches the name and address (if available). That saves time and makes sure the details are correct.
Smarter features and adjustments in the system
Besides the big news, we've made a number of improvements that make everyday work easier:
- The DA Barsel rates have been updated as of 1 July 2025, so your calculations are always correct.
- Report buttons for Global values and Global value sets have been moved, so they're easier to find and reach.
- Important functions for pay calculation (e.g. proportional calculation and transfer of negative pay) have been moved to a more logical place under Pay calculations, without changing how they work.
- We've introduced several design improvements, including extra “Save” buttons, the removal of confusing warning boxes for NemKonto, and moving the extra days off functions to the relevant settings pages.
Bug fixes – a more stable and reliable system
To ensure a smooth experience, we've also fixed a number of bugs, including:
- Correct payment of holiday allowance for employees leaving in May.
- Errors in the ATP calculation for employees with certain birthdays.
- Problems with the approval flow, API endpoints and dropdown menus on pay run pages.
- Reinstatement of the tab for importing holiday files from virk.dk.
- Validation of IBAN/SWIFT has been restored to prevent incorrect details.
