Robust Styrke is a training community in Vanløse with group training and personal training in small groups, in a place where quality and a personal touch are the whole idea. “Everyone is on first-name terms with everyone. If we haven't seen people for a while, we get in touch with them: Where have you got to? We miss you,” says Sandie Fortner, who co-owns the business with her partner Emil Funch Simonsen and is in charge of day-to-day operations and the finances.

“It makes it easier to be a start-up when I feel I'm in control of the finances.”
All the things the members don't see
Behind the door to the training venue is a business that has to work: billing, payments, running costs that have to be posted to the accounts, and receipts that, under the Danish Bookkeeping Act, have to be registered digitally within ten days. “It's all the things behind a business that you don't really see when you open the door here,” says Sandie. “The members shouldn't notice any of what goes on behind the scenes — it should just work.”
Three in one — a no-brainer for a new business
Robust Styrke started up at the end of 2025, and neither of the owners had tried running a finance system or a payroll system before. So the requirement was simple: as few systems as possible. “Being able to run payroll in the same system where I do my invoices and my receipt registration means a huge amount. The fewer systems I have to get to grips with, the better,” explains Sandie. “I actually had no doubt that it had to be Zenegy. Three in one — that was the way forward. It was a no-brainer.”
Without Zenegy, the sums would have looked different: a finance system for the accounts, the bank alongside it, cards and receipts in a third place and payroll in a fourth.
Receipts straight away and expenses paid out the next day
Today the routine is simple: every time there's a purchase on the card, Sandie takes a picture of the receipt straight away and adds it in the app. “I've tried not doing it, and then the receipt always goes missing,” she laughs. The employees do the same when they pay for something out of their own pocket: “They take a picture in the app, I get a notification straight away and approve it, and with the bank integration they have the money the next day. It's fantastic.”
An overview in the dashboard, on the go too
How the month is going, income and expenses, plus or minus on the account: “The dashboard gives a fantastic overview. I can quickly see whether we can afford a new investment or whether we should wait a bit,” says Sandie.
It also makes the status meetings with her co-owner and the dialogue with the accountant easier. And because it's all in the app: “I don't always have my computer with me, but I always have my phone. I use it pretty much every day.”

“Zenegy is a really good fit for businesses like ours, with hourly paid employees, ongoing pay-outs and a daily routine where you wear many hats.”

The gain can be counted in time: “I probably save an hour a day because all the systems talk to each other and I only have to close in one place. The complete overview gives so much value that it's almost hard to describe. It gives me peace of mind.” Instead, the time goes to what drives the business: looking after members, development and the training itself. “It makes it easier to be a start-up when I feel I'm in control of the finances. I can trust the systems.”
Sandie's recommendation is clear: “Zenegy is a really good fit for businesses like ours, with hourly paid employees, ongoing pay-outs and a daily routine where you wear many hats.”
Get a finance system that gives you peace of mind from day one. Payroll and Numbers work together with one login, and each pay run lands in your accounts by itself.
